Try our serving suggestion using an aeropress
What You will need
- Medium Fine Ground Hike Coffee ( try our serving suggestion)
- Areopress kit
- Coffee mug
Assemble your Aeropress in the inverted position and weigh out 16g of medium fine ground Hike Coffee. The scoop provided is roughly 16g if you don't have scales to hand
Tip: Use the funnel provided to ensure no grounds get trapped in the gutter as this will affect the filter housing seal.
Pour over twice as much water as there is coffee. In this case as there is 16g coffee use 32g of boiling water. Make sure you have wet all the coffee, if needed tamper the coffee with the paddle and leave for 30 seconds.
After 30 seconds your coffee will have bloomed, now pour over the remaining water (168g)
Give your coffee a stir, and then let it brew for 1 minute.
When your coffee is brewing away place a piece of filter paper in the housing then carefully rinse it off, discarding the water.
This will remove any unwanted tastes the filter paper may have and stick the paper to the housing.
Screw your filter housing to your Aeropress, make sure its fully locked in as we don't want any leaks!
Place your cup on the top of your Aeropress as its time to plunge.
Holding both parts of the chamber and your cup turn you Areopress set up 180.
Push down on the inner chamber until you hear a hissing sound then enjoy your coffee.
